After enjoying the sunrise at the summit panorama Penanjakan, we continue the journey to Mount Bromo crater. We drove jeep hardtop back down the Mount Penanjakan and through the desert.

Mount Bromo (id: Gunung Bromo) is one of the mountain located in the Tengger Mountains has 2392 meters above sea level. Mount Bromo is located in four regions, namely Kabupaten Probolinggo, Pasuruan, Lumajang, and Malang. The appeal of a special Mount Bromo is a volcano crater in the middle of the sea of sand that stretched around the crater of Bromo white smoke.

Hardtop jeep stopped at the parking area before the temple, we continued our journey to Mount Bromo crater on foot. The distance between the locations of the crater to the parking lot as far as 1 kilometer crater. In the parking area, is also available to rent horses for the stairs up to the crater of Mount Bromo.

We had to climb the stairs, amounting to 250 pieces to the top of Mount Bromo. Cold air and low oxygen levels at high altitudes makes our bodies tired. Finally, we arrived at the top of Mount Bromo and could see the crater of Mount Bromo.

According to the myth about the origin of the Tengger tribe. Formerly on the island of Java at the command of King Brawijaya from Majapahit whom has a daughter named Rara Anteng who married Joko Seger, descendants of Brahmana. When there is unrest in the island of Java, some people are loyal to the Hindu religion fled to the island of Bali. Others withdrew from the crowd and settled on a plateau at the foot of Mount Bromo, led by Roro Anteng and Joko Seger, be they ethnic Tengger, short for Anteng and Seger.

From the top of Mount Bromo, we could see the landscape of the sea of sand, desert savanna, and Mount Batok is located next to Mount Bromo. It was a very charming scene for us and other tourists. Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is indeed worthy of being a tourist attraction in the eyes of Indonesia mainstay of the world.
